Career

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the communication functions of the business office and provide comprehensive clerical support.
  • Assist the hospice team with patient admissions, discharges and changes in the level of care within our system.

  • Coordinate continuous care arrangements, including setting up transportation and ordering necessary medical equipment.
  • Handle Medicaid/Medicare forms, manage room and board reconciliation, and oversee continuous care and GIP (General Inpatient Care) reconciliation.
  • Provide clerical support, which includes preparing admission, orientation, continuous care and new hire packets.

  • Monitor and order office supplies and forms, engage in typing, special projects, filing, data entry and copying as needed.

  • Create and manage morning and end-of-day reports, prepare meeting agendas, and fax weekly care plans to external physicians.
Provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in their residences

Applicant Requirements / Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-year medical office or medical business experience; Hospice office experience is preferred
  • MS Office Proficiency, advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work with a high sense of urgency
