As a Business Office Manager, you will play a key role in organizing, developing, and implementing management systems that enhance our hospice care operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination and management of the business office and related operational activities, including billing for reimbursement, payroll and administrative quality improvement.

  • Perform local office manager duties, including interfacing with landlords, troubleshooting phone and IT hardware/software issues and managing on-call answering service issues.

  • Coordinate staff and management meetings, as well as employee celebrations.
  • Order marketing and sales collateral through the online company stores, as approved by the Executive Director (ED).

  • Maintain agency manuals and track agency contracts for the renewal process.
  • Assist the Executive Director with daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.

  • Assist in ordering medical and office supplies as needed, maintain the storage room and help in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

  • Enter patient billing data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and collaborate with the Support Center’s Reimbursement team to ensure accurate billing.

Applicant Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years medical office or medical business experience; hospice office experience preferred.

  • Must possess a high level of technical and problem solving skills to complement a strong leadership and management skill set.

  • MS Office Proficiency, advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in human resources is preferred.
