Job Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse at Three Oaks Hospice, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering Skilled Nursing Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving hospice care at one of our locations, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including patient/family and referring agencies, to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
  • Advanced Care Provision: Deliver hands-on advanced care as per medical orders.
  • Medication and Equipment Management: Perform medication set-ups and manage various medical equipment such as colostomy/catheter care and trachea care.
  • Training and Supervision: Train and supervise aides, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide high-quality care to our patients.
  • Patient and Family Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions.

Applicant Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • Current state license as an RN and current state driver’s license
  • Two years experience as an RN in a clinical care setting; hospice or home health experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficient skill using a computer is required; Microsoft Office suite experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide effective support to the patient and family
  • Demonstrate skill in nursing practice, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles
